Wow can you all believe I will be 22 this Sat? How weird!! Well I don't really have much to say, it's been another week in Liniers, I wish there was something I could tell you, but nothing really happens here!! We really feel like President Argyle will close Liniers soon, It is dying, we still don't really have investigators, a typical day is we leave the apt at 11 walk around doing contacts or trying to teach lessons until 1 then we eat and then from 3-9 we are walking around with out sitting down once! I think in that I have just told our whole week! We are doing everything we can, and I asked president what we were doing wrong or what we could do better, and all he told me was endure to the end of each day and week, and I will get more advice at Zone Conference, which is this Friday! I'm usually very positive in my letters to him and so I think my last letter shocked him, because I have never said anything sad or negative in a letter before!
A piece of good news is we finally have a ward mission leader, its been years since Liniers has had one of those! The only problem is he is a lawyer which means he works A LOT!! And is never home to have meetings! But he seems really excited to work with us, and we are excited to work with him!
I'm sorry this letter is so depressing, but i really don't know what else to say, I guess I could tell a funny story, but I don't think I can write it very funny! So yesterday we were doing contacts, and Hna Perez starts talking to a man knocking on a door, well he talks to us for a while but he didnt have any interest, was trying to fight with us, but my poor little comp doesnt pick up on things like that! so she kept trying to talk to him, and he started to tell us why he doesn't believe in the creation, it's because when he was 12 years old he was out in the country where there are a lot of cows, and he went outside one day and saw a lot of light, and you all know what that light was... a UFO, yup this man was abducted by aliens! He told us all about it, they were really tall and blond, like Germans or something, and they talked to him about how the planet is in danger and a whole bunch of things! This happened when he was 12 and he is now 50, he told us things like this happen a lot in the states! So as soon as he started talking about aliens and stuff I was like ok welp thanks for your time, but my comp, well she started preaching that the creation is true and all these things... yeah she tried preaching to him, so we were talking to him for like 30 min, and then he started talking about Bush and politics and all kinds of things, and that is when she said well we can't talk about politics. So I can mark meeting someone who has been abducted by aliens off my bucket list!!
Welp That is really about all I have to tell, even though Liniers is really hard and the members aren't very supportive, I'm very happy to be a missionary, I know that I cant expect a painless life as a servant of Christ! I decided a few weeks ago I am sick of being sad here in Liniers, I know I am working to my fullest potential, I dont have anything left at the end of the day, there is nothing more I can do! So why be sad, plus my comp gets really sad really easy, it is her last transfer, she goes home in like 5 weeks, she is always sad and crying about Liniers, so I'm always happy so that she can forget about how bad it is, I bet you all never thought I would be the positive one!! But well the mission changes people!
I love you all, you all are in my prayers, and please keep us here in Liniers in your prayers!!

OK so Transfers have come and gone, and well I'm still in Liniers... Anyways the one good thing about this means My comp and I went to the temple today my first time to the temple here in Argentina, so my first time in 7 months!!! Oh it was fantastic, I loved it, I think it is better in Spanish than in English! I felt a spirit so strong, and I am a lot more motivated to work harder to change the stereotype of this area!! I'm so glad to hear that Katie went to the temple, I hope everything was perfect!! I don't really have too much to talk about!
I don't really have any investigators to talk about, because basically all of them have dropped us, so this week we are going to be working on finding people that really do want to hear about the gospel of Christ!!
Well since this letter is really lame, I will tell about what happened to us yesterday, its really funny! So our apartment is really old and has locks for everything, even the kitchen door, well my comp was telling me that transfers make her so nervous that she eats everything in sight, so I said I guess we just have to lock the kitchen door with a key, and I went and locked it, just joking around, well apparently the lock was broken, and I locked it, but I couldn't unlock it! It was quite a bad thing! We tried for a really long time and couldn't do it, we went to our neighbor and apparently he sleeps the siesta, I didn't know people actually do that, so we woke him up and he wasn't too happy about that, and he couldn't get it to open, so we had to call someone to come and open it for us and charged us $120 peso for like 15 min of work!! But whatever, we have learned our lesson, we will not be touching our doors anymore!! HAHA it was kinda funny, but I just realized it isn't as funny written in an email! Well I love everyone, and I'm praying for everyone, the temple is amazing, and I'm sending a shout out of welcome to the crazy Gosnell family Gabriela!!

Hey everyone, I would like to suggest a scripture for everyone to read: Proverbs 25:25 It is a very good mission scripture! Welp it was really fun talking to everyone on Sunday I had a lot of fun hearing everyone's voices, even all my nieces and nephews!! I especially had fun talking to Noelle all in Spanish! It was definitely much easier for me to talk in Spanish to her! When I talked to everyone I complained about how hot it was still, and how we didn't have any cockroaches anymore, and well, that night we had to kill several really big cockroaches, and the next day the cold has started! My hands are freezing, hopefully I will be able to buy gloves today!
Not really much has happened, The last 2 days we have spent walking ALL DAY because everyone canceled on us! Even our district meeting, our district leader changed where we normally have the meeting but forgot to tell us! SO we were at the church building waiting for district meeting and welp, nobody came!! This next week I will be writing later because we will be going to the temple!! I'm so excited, I probably won't get to do a session, because we are inviting an investigator, so if she goes I won't be able to go in, but at least I will be able to see the temple!! Well sorry this letter is so lame, but I really don't know what I can say! Hope everyone is well!!
Welp I only have one picture for today, this is one of my skirts that I didn't have fixed in Tigre, welp now I can't use it, but to let everyone know, when I started my mission I never used this skirt because it was too tight!!

Welp this week was an interesting one. We have had quite a few adventures, but I don't really have time to write everything, and well, I will be talking to a few of you this Sunday!!
So it turns out it is a bit complicated to baptize someone who lives in the streets, I don't feel like Jorge is trying to use the church, but I do understand we need to use all precautions to protect against that, so once he gets a house then we can talk about when he will be baptized. He came to our appt. on Sat, but he didn't come to church on Sunday, so unless he comes to church this Sunday we've lost contact with him anyways!!
Mayra is still fantastic, only she didn't come to church this Sunday either, because she came to a baptism with us Sat night and so she had to spend time with her family Sunday! But she says this Sunday for sure... lets hope so!!
Well and we have found someone else to teach, actually he found us. My first Sunday here he came to the capilla (chapel) and said he needed God in his life, but he couldn't stay, so we gave him a folleto (pamphlet) and made an appt, but every time we went by his house his grandma had a different lie for us,. One time it was really funny because we talked to his neighbor and she said oh he just left to go buy something at the pharmacy, but he might be back I don't know, so when we rang the bell and his grandma answered she said no he's not here, he just left. So we asked when we could come back and she said oh no he is traveling for work, so we said OK we will pass by another day, and as we turned to leave she said oh no actually he went to Salta (which is in the north of Argentina). I smiled and said thanks we will pass by later on! Hermana Perez and I laughed so hard because it was like 3 lies one right after the other! Daniel says she does that with everyone. Well we passed by this Sunday and he was home!! We were able to teach him a lesson and he loved it. When we read James 1:5 he was like wow that is the answer to my question. Then I taught the part about the First Vision and he loved it. Then we read Moroni 10:3-5 and he was like wow where has this been all my life, and then he said, I don't have money right now but I will buy this when I do, and we laughed and said no don't worry about it, it's a gift! When we ended the lesson he left to walk home and we watched him and he was reading as he was walking! I feel really good about him. He has quite the past. He used to be in a lot of drugs and stuff, contracted a really ugly disease, and lost his wife. He has completely turned his life around, he told us he misses his wife, and that we never know how good we have it until we lose it all! He really loves his ex wife, but knows he has to move on because she has remarried and everything! There are some consequences we just can't control, no matter how much we repent and try to change things, but he has accepted that and is now trying to do the right things! Pray for him!
Oh and the other day in my personal study I was reading in John (I think) and it talked about how sometimes we are the sowers and sometimes we are the reapers, so even though I'm not having very much success right now doesn't mean I'm not a good missionary, it just means I'm sowing the seeds so that other missionaries after me and reap the rewards!!
Well that is all I have time for now, maybe I'll have more to talk about on Sunday when I talk to you all!!
Love ya and have a great Mother's Day everyone!!
Besitos,
Hermana Gosnell
OK so the one with other people in it is with Mayra and Hermana Perez, the one with my black turtle neck is just showing off one of the sweaters I bought here, and the other one of me in a black skirt and white shirt and a black cardigan, well my comp said I looked like a Nun, (sometimes the people in the streets call us nuns) and the other one is what my hair looks like at the end of the day... seriously!!
