Well I don't really have much time, but I want to let you all know I'm doing just
fine, I wasn't effected even a little tiny bit by all the earthquakes that are happening here in south America! But it is def crazy, everyone is really sad and worried about what is going on! But I must say all these natural disasters really give me energy to work as hard as possible because it shows we don't have much time left to work... and well EVERYONE needs to have the chance to accept or reject this message!!!I'm still working hard, I'm hoping to see a baptism this weekend, I don't have any candidates right now, but there is someone out there waiting to be baptized, I just need to find them!!
Welp I love you all, and don't forget to write me before next Tuesday, it is your last chance to repent!!
Love yall

I'm Building an Arc
So this past week we have had A TON OF RAIN!! Seriously, some streets were so flooded people had to practically swim to get from one place to another!! We were eating at a members house, we had just shared the spiritual thought when it started raining like it was the end of the world, so we waited a little to see if it would lighten up a bit (we had forgotten our umbrellas) when all of a sudden something in the roof broke and water started falling inside, but like more was falling inside than out, so we jumped up and started helping them move everything away from the water, it was so flooded inside, when we finished moving everything we all just looked at each other for a second and then the lights shut off!! There are no windows in that house so we all rushed outside and sat in the doorway of their house watching the rain, it was crazy how hard it was raining!! Once it stopped raining so hard we left to go work, and as soon as we left it started raining super hard again, and we found out no one had light, which means doorbells don't work, and no one lives in houses here, they are all very tall apartment buildings that
you can't enter unless someone lets you in... we weren't able to do too much, but hey at least we tried!! There have been a ton of accidents and there are people who still don't have light, luckily we never lost power in our apt, I love th rain, I def. prefer rain than dying of heat!!
This week was a lot better in finding, we found 3 kids who love to know about the church, their aunt told us they ask everyday if it is time to go to church, and thy were all so excited to receive a Book of Mormon that as soon as they got home they started reading it! The little girl in the middle of a lesson asked how can I be Mormon, I'm just dying to know I want to be Mormon... haha I laughed so hard, I just hope their parents let them be baptized (they live half a block away from the church!!) We are now trying to find people to be baptized, all of our investigators want to be baptized, but they all have to get married first!! It is so hard to get married here in Argentina, it will be a while, so please keep praying we can find people who are ready for baptism now!
Thanks so much for all your love and prayers, I have been able to feel it this past week!! I love you all and pray or you all all the time!!

PS Ladd, your letter made me laugh loud and heave, everyone was looking at me... I'm gonna try to get a letter out to you this week!!

Happy Valentines Day
Ok so I didn't have much to write, but I wrote a quick letter, and well it got
erased... ahhh I hate computers!! Well to make my short letter even shorter, I'm dead tired, I worked harder this last week than I have ever worked before in my mission, but we still didn't find any new people to teach, and a lot of our investigators have dropped us, so please pray for me and my comp so we can see some miracles, because at this point a miracle is what we need!!
The support of the members is so important, you all just don't understand, it is almost impossible to find someone to teach without a reference, not impossible, but almost impossible!! So please give your missionaries references!! I promise all of you know at least one person that isn't a member that is ready to accept the gospel, don't hide this gift from them because you are scared, or lack the faith, you don't have to be the one to invite them, the missionaries can do it! Please today before you go to bed kneel and pray to your heavenly father, and ask him who it is you know that is ready to accept the gospel, and act on the answer, no matter what, it doesn't matter if you felt impressed to invite someone who has rejected you a million times, if you feel like you need to pass the reference... to quote a prophet of this dispensation (Kimball?) JUST DO IT!!
Ok well thats all I have to say, I hope you are all well, I pray for each of you often, I love you and have a great day!!

Another day in the neighborhood
Well time just keeps flying by, I cant believe it is time to write you all again, and well I don't really have much to say! I had zone conf last Thursday, and I would like to send a shout out to Ashley and Ben, they receive best friend awards, they sent me a package that had stuff I really needed!! And well Ladd, sorry to say your package still hasn't gotten here yet, Hermana Kroff says she will send it to me if they get it before I leave, but she also told me of an elder whose family sent him a Christmas package in November, and it didn't get here until October (o sea it took 11 months to get here!!) But you get best friend award too because I know you sent it!!I got lots of fun things and thank you to everyone who sent me a letter, I loved it!! So hard to believe I wont be getting any more letters or packages in my mission... sad day!
This last week has been kind of hard, we have been losing a lot of investigators, or dropping them because they are progressing, I really want to see some baptisms before I come home, but I have a lot of work to do, because as of right now we don't have anyone that can be baptized, they all have to get married first, and here in Argentina it isn't easy... its like a 3 months process, if your lucky!! I'm praying to find a family to teach and baptize before I come home, please continue praying for me!!
Welp It has been raining A LOT here, which is amazing, it means it isn't hot... i def prefer to be drowning in puddles of rain then in puddles of sweat!! But today the sun has come out, I think our wonderful rain spell has come to an end, the heat is coming back... yipee!!
I feel like I had something more to say, but now i cant remember, but I hope all is well and I pray for you all continually!!

So I hope everyone up north is enjoying the nice cold weather, because I'm here dying in a puddle of sweat... yeah its really really hot here!! So I've noticed a definite pick up in time here, time is just flying by at an incredible speed, how does this happen? I'm praying for it to slow down and I feel like I don't even
have time to breathe one second! There is so much to do, and so little time to do it! These last 2 weeks were crazy, I'm still so tired from everything we have been doing, I plan on sleeping all day today... haha ok well not all day, but at least until 6, and then I'm up and out to work again!! The members are trying to get used to my new comp, she is 100% different than Hermana Mora, and it is hard for them to get used to that, she is like a really good person, but very different from any of my other companions, please pray that we find our niche and can work in unity. Don't worry we get along, she is really nice, but just very different
from any other comp!! Last night we ate with a family here in the ward, they are from Russia, they are so cool, and the food was soooo good!! The dad doesn't speak Spanish very well, and the mom speaks pretty good, but prefers Russian, so their son translated for us most of the time, they showed us pictures from Russia and books in Russian, so cool! I totally want to go to Russia now!! HAHA I love new things, but I'm def glad I didn't have to LEARN Russian, looking at those books last night made me appreciate how easy Spanish is!!
Welp I think there was like a lot more I wanted to say, but now I cant remember, but I'm happy, please keep praying for me, I need all the prayers I can get! I have my last zone conf. this Thursday, Elder Aidukitis will be there, that should be fun!
Welp love you all lots and please keep writing me!! I need the love and support now more than you can imagine!!

Well this week I received a mini missionary... what does that mean? It means we are
a threesome, and the mini is not a real missionary, she is just here for a little bit of time, usually we only have minis when there aren't enough missionaries, but she and her friend want to serve missions and wanted to see what it was like, so they are here for a week and a half, her friend is in Nunez, and she is here with me and Hermana Mora, so I'm training her for a week and a half, she got here Friday and will be leaving Tuesday, she is really sweet, but having her around is a bit stressful because she doesn't know anything about being a missionary, and so she doesn't wake up at 630 or go to bed at 1030, and she didn't bring any clothes appropriate for a sister missionary, but she is very willing to learn and obey, so once we explain things to her she starts to do things right, but it is really stressful!
That is really all that is going on here, we have transfers next week so p'day will be on Tuesday, and then after that it will be on Monday forever... I'm really really sad about that because having p'day on wed is so much easier... but whatever I have to trust my president is inspired!
We are still looking for more investigators, we don't have any! We are still
teaching Celeste, but she is still fighting to give up smoking, she really wants to and has desire, but it is so hard... any ideas for giving up smoking?
Welp sorry but I don't have much more to say, next week will be my last transfers of the mission, everyone says Hermana Mora will be going to a different area, please pray with me that that doesn't happen, I don't want to end my mission with a new companion, I'm praying as hard as I can that she stays here!
Welp gotta run, love ya'll

Freaking Coackroaches!!!!
Sorry for my french... haha Ok so this week was filled with cockroaches, cockroaches oh and just a bit more cockroaches... I love this area and the people here, but seriously I'm beginning to think it might not be worth it, the apt is so disgusting, and it isn't because we don't clean, oh no we clean... ALOT!! The other day I suggested we clean off the shelves in our kitchen because there was a lot of stuff on there we didn't use or should prob be thrown out... we put all our food in bags and but them in another room... then the fun began, I'm pretty sure we killed like a million cockroaches, and their babies and their eggs... it was so disgusting, they were big ones too... not as big as the one in my apt in Louisville, but still big!! We told our zone leader about it and he will see what
he can do, when we complained about it earlier they said just use raid, well that is what we did and it kept getting worse and worse, we also have someone come once a month to fumigate, it doesn't do anything, and then we bought some kind of gel, and well that helped a little, until the day we cleaned our shelves, now they are going to try and see what they can do! Also right before we came to do internet I was looking under some books on my desk and found a family living under them... I'm so sick of cockroaches!!!
Ok so enough about that, the work is going good, we had a baptism on Saturday, Monica was finally baptized, it was a really sweet service, and her daughter who tells us she wants nothing to do with the church came to support her mom, and it looked like she was really touched by the spirit, she also came to church on Sunday to see the confirmation!! And lets talk about how great this ward is, Monica already has home teachers, and they came to her baptism and let her know if she needed anything to call them! I love Almagro!! Well with the baptism of Monica we have lost all our investigators that can be baptized, we still have investigators, but they all need to get married first, and well that is a complicated process here in Argentina!! So we are now focusing really hard on finding new people to teach, pray for us, it is really hard to find here in capital! We did find one guy, he was an old investigator a year ago, he is a really good guy, married with 2 kids, he told us the missionaries came once and then never called again, I have no idea why... he is awesome, he read the folleto we left him, and told us all about it and then we taught him lesson 1 and he prayed on his knees at the end... men hardly ever do that! I'm excited about him, his wife isn't that interested, she is friendly but doesn't sit in on our lessons, pray for her too!!
Welp that is all I have time for, but I hope you all are doing well and I miss you all...
thanks for the emails and all your support...
Love you all

Happy Wise Men's Day!!!
Yeah so here in Argentina they celebrate wise men's day, the 6th of Jan. they celebrate when the wise men visited Christ, and kids here get presents and stuff like that just like Christmas, I still don't really understand, but hey here in Argentina there is a holiday every week it seems like!
Wep I don't really have much time to write, I need to run, I want to sleep a bit today!! But since I just wrote you all on Friday there isn't much to write. We had a baptism on Saturday, it was a nice like service, we didn't have very many people come but it was still nice. We have another baptism this Saturday and we are working hard trying to invite everyone so we can have a lot of people! Also we have lost a few of our investigators, the ones that we were working with the most, so we are now trying to find more, it is really difficult to find new investigators here in capital, no one stops to listen to us on the street, the only way to find new people is when members give us referrals, pray that we get some good ones soon please!!
Welp that is all I got for this week, thanks for all your love and prayers, I love all of you!!

Happy New Year 2010!!!!
1-1-10
Wow can you all believe that we are in 2010??? I cant believe it, I remember last year being in my first area thinking that 2010 would never come, and well come it has... time just keeps flying by, does it ever slow down??
Well I must say I was so happy to talk to you all last week, It has made me so happy this last week... every time I think about the phone call I just smile, I just love my family, I'm pretty sure I have the best family in the world! One of my favorite parts of the phone call was when Rachel talked to me... she doesn't even remember who I am, but I was so excited to hear her sweet voice!!
So this past week we haven't really been doing too much, just the same old preaching the gospel! We have a baptism this weekend, he turns out to be a member of one of the families that would always feed us in Liniers (mama rosa... arroz y arroz y mas arroz), que tal? He is alienated from the family and refuses to invite them, it is a pretty messed up fam, but hey at least he wants to get baptized. Actually he was baptized before but the bishop cant locate his records anywhere, so well he is getting baptized again, what an opportunity!! And well we have another baptism for this next Saturday (the 9th) she is really excited about her baptism, we have been working with her since before I got here and well she is finally getting baptized!! YAY!Well sorry but I cant think of much else to write, life has been kind of boring the past few weeks, I cant wait until things get back to normal... oh speaking of back to normal, p'day is back to being on Wednesday, so please write me... this week I only got a letter from mom and Jarrod... I like emails please don't forget about me!! welp I gotta run... love you all LOTS!!
