¡¡¡Hay baptisms in Nùñez!!!

So I was expecting all kinds of April Fool's day jokes today, I'm surprised I didn't get a single one!! But I have good news, Katie the coolest person in the world turned in her mission papers this week!! Pray for her because now Satan will be working EXTRA hard to get her not to go on her mission, because he doesn't want such a strong faithful person like Katie out in the field!!

OK so we had a baptism this Sunday!! The girl that was baptized is Alicia, she is 12 years old (just turned 12) So something I just realized is she is about the same age as Austin, wow so weird!! Her family are all members but inactive, but her mom has such a testimony and is now going to church every week! They have a lot of trials in their lives and she could be blaming it all on God, but you know what she talks about how she knows everything happens for a reason and that God will help her, she is such an inspiration! Alicia could have gotten baptized with her sister when she was 8 years old, but she is scared of water and so she was really nervous for her baptism, but she had faith to do it (and I gave her a little hard candy before to calm her nerves, she said it really helped!) I just love her, she is truly an amazing kid! The baptism was a bit hard, because we had an investigator there that has a daughter who has severe autism, and something else, and all the members are very rude about it and tell the mom that her daughter is uncontrollable. Well Sara escaped the room where the baptism was and nobody helped so I actually wasn't present for the baptism, because my comp and I were running around with Sara, it is really hard because as missionaries we aren't allowed to hold or do anything with children, I will admit I wasn't very happy about missing the baptism, but at least Renee was able to be present for the baptism!

I actually don't know what to write about this week, I have time, but I can't really think of things that happened, so I will tell a few random stories, so a few weeks ago my comp and I were walking home really fast and well we all know I can't walk very good. I don't know what happened but all of a sudden I was on the ground, but the funniest thing happened, my comp fell too!! I think my bag hit her foot or something but we both fell flat on our faces, we sat there for a second looked around and por suerte (luckily) there was no one around, so nobody saw us biff it!! Now every time we pass that spot we laugh so hard. We laughed that whole night!! Then another random story, so we had a plumbing problem in our appt that was effecting our neighbors downstairs, so we had to stay in the apartment one whole Monday morning while a plumber was fixing everything in our bathroom, and I swear he would work for like 10 min and then stop and come out and talk to us, but we were studying and stuff, so he would leave and come back, and then I noticed that he was smoking in our bathroom, like all the time!! All my stuff smelled like smoke, so my comp went to talk to him and asked him to stop smoking and he was like oh but can't you just close the bathroom door and take our your towels and let me smoke!! and she was like well it isn't your house and we don't smoke in here and stuff like that, and he was like but if i can't smoke I will have to leave to go outside all the time, and we were like well you can't smoke in here. I couldn't believe how hard it was to ask someone not to smoke in our own apartment! Another random story, I fell again yesterday, but I wasn't so fortunate this time. It was in front of a ton of people and I skinned my knee, but I laughed pretty hard, such is my life!! I had another story I wanted to tell but I cant remember it now!

So that is my letter for this week, I hope you all enjoyed it! I was thinking this week about my life before my mission, not in a trunky way but just in a reflective way and wow my life was so different! I didn't realize all the changes I had made in the past 7 months! Its hard to imagine the life I have in the states, and it is sad to me to know that when I get home I will probably fit right back into in no time, but I hope that I will never forget all the things Ive learned here, and that I wont lose all the good virtues I am learning here on the mission... like patience. I'm not perfectly patient now by any means, but I definitely am a lot more patient then anyone would ever believe!! Well that is a bit random, but hey so is my life!!

I gotta run, I will try to attach a few pics but this comp is the slowest thing I've ever seen!! Love you all and keep me updated on everything!! The church is true and enjoy conference in English for me!!

Love

Hermana Gosnell
